archive posts while not being visible on the page

  I would like to have my old posts ONLY visible in an archive. Now the old posts stay on the blog and are also in the archive. This will result in a long page with old posts. I don’t know if it is possible and how. I now only have a choice to sent old posts to the recycle bin, but than they are no longer in the archive!
  What I want is: on the first page only my new post (every week a menu) should be visible as sticky, while my old posts (menu’s of former weeks) will only be found in the archive. If I don’t do this, than the bottom of the blog, where people can find my google map and sponsor (widget spaces), will only be visible when people scroll down the page and I want it to be visible after a little scroll down.

  You can control the amount of posts displayed on your home page via Settings -> Reading in your blog’s Dashboard.
