Archive shortcodes

  I know with the archive shortcodes there are several options to customize it (type, format, showcount, etc). I was wondering if there was a way to customize based on categories. My goal is to create new pages for my different categories.

  Normally the way to sort your posts is by categories, not by (static) pages. Static pages are meant to be used for information which rarely, if ever, changes. If you switch to the inove theme then one feature of that theme is the ability to replace the horizontal tabbed display of static pages to categories. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2009/08/16/review-of-the-wordpress-com-inove-theme/
