  Is it possible to have archive displayed in ascending order (free version of wp so no css changes)?

  Yes, this is possible. You have several different ways to change the order of your posts. I would check out this page and see what works best for you:

  Thanks but it doesn’t help. I’ve already tried that with creating new page and setting sorting but 1. I would have to create a new page for every month and exchange month archives list with those pages (stupid idea) and 2. on that page there are only titles of the posts not whole posts (I could find any setting for that).
  What I want to do is when I pick up a month from archive list to have all posts displayed chronological. Default is from the newest which is great for main page to show newest posts but for archive it doesn’t make sense. Often when I want to read someone’s blog I have to go on very bottom of the month archive page (if all is on one page) and find the beginning of the first post, after read it going up and find next post and so on.
