Archive widget not working

I’ve added the Archive widget as stated in the tutorials but it still doesn’t appear in the sidebar. I’ve titled it and clicked the ‘display’ and ‘show post’ boxes but still – nothing. The tutorial says nothing about the ‘visible’ button – should I be using that? I’ve tried using it in various ways, but the Archive still won’t show on the main sidebar. Would much appreciate some help!

Not sure if you solved this but I am able to get the widget to display on my test blog.
Can you confirm that you have saved the widget once you added it?
If so, it might be a browser issue? Can you confirm your browser is updated? If not use one of the browsers here http://www.browsehappy.com
Also, you may try switching browsers to see if there is a difference.Finally, can you confirm you are using the dashboard–>appearence–>widgets to add posts

I’ve clicked the ‘Visibility’ button and saved it. It did cross my mind that the Twenty Eleven theme wouldn’t support it, and I think my browser is very much out of date! So I’ll check these out and re-post if I still can’t sort it out.
