Archived entry

When I publish a post, and I follow-up on it to see how it’s displayed to the public, it comes up as an archived entry, therefore, my blogroll and earlier posts are not displayed. How do I change this so my blogroll and earlier posts come up?

this is the blog you’re referring to, yes?what do you mean by archived entry? i see all your posts in the front page, in full. i do not see your blogroll, however. did you insert the links widget in your sidebar?

The preview gives you the single-post page view which does not show the widgets in the theme you are using – Connections. That is how the theme was designed. I don’t know if it is something that could be changed through editing the CSS or not. I suspect it would require editing the underlying theme template (the html) which we cannot do here at wordpress.com.

I just took a look and whether widgets appear on a particular page or not is defined in the html of the theme, so it is something that cannot be changed here at wordpress.com.

Therefore, if you want your full sidebars to appear on every view, you will have to choose a different theme.

Much thanks for your input. I’m going to change the theme and see it that works.

I seem to have a similar problem with my chosen theme – Regulus. Unless I use widgets, I do not get a full display of my archive entries. I like the default look of the sidebar in Regulus and would prefer not to mess with it, but it seems I will either have to use the widget approach, or choose a new theme.
