Archived Posts Not Visible in Sidebar Widget

  Hi!
  In Appearance/Widgets/Sidebar/Archives I cannot figure out a way to make my archived posts (and number of posts) visible on my site.

  I have checked “Display as dropdown” and “Show post counts” and then clicked on “Visibility” and “Show if date is all date archives” and then hit “save” but nothing shows up on my blog. They used to show on my blog and now they don’t and I cannot get them back again.

  I’m using the Notepad theme and my blog can be found at: https://consciouscacophony.wordpress.com. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi there. Please try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then log back in and try adding the widget again. Let us know if it still won’t show up.

  Hi. I cleared my browser cache and cookies and then logged back in and tried adding the widget again. It still won’t show up.

  Anything else I can try?

  Nothing else I can think of, but maybe staff has a suggestion. I’ve tagged this thread for them, so please be patient a while longer while waiting for their response.

  For anyone who is interested in helping me with my query….my Facebook widget is now not showing up in my sidebar either :-(

  It used to show up fine and now it isn’t either. Can’t get it back. Just like the archived posts widget.

  Hi CC,

  You had some Widget Visibility rules set on those two widgets that ended up making them never display the way your site is setup.

  I removed those rules for you and they’re appearing fine now.

  Hi Alex,

  Thanks for your help….I appreciate it. The FB widget is showing up now, so that’s great. However, the archived post widget is still NOT showing up on the sidebar. It’s strange that I had rules set up that would have made widgets never display because both those widgets used to be visible in my sidebar without any problem.

  If you wouldn’t mind helping me get the archived posts widget visible in the sidebar, that is the one that I’m really wanting back there as it shows me how many posts I’ve posted in the month at a quick glance, etc and will be helpful with the upcoming NaPoWriMo starting on April 1st.

  Hi CC,

  Odd – I could’ve sworn it was visible when I was last on your site yesterday.

  However, it appears to be the visibility rule once again:

  

  Go into your Widget settings here:

  https://consciouscacophony.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php

  Click on the “Visibility” button for your Archives widget, delete that rule, then save the widget.
