How do I manage, that when I open my archive, the articles are all listed under each other with a headline and some texts? If I open the archive there appears only the latest article and I have to click my way down to the first. I looked but could not find how I can change this in the widgets. Thanks for an answer!

You have your blog set to display only one post per page (settings > reading). That setting affects all post pages (main page, archives pages, category pages, tags pages).
Increase the number of posts to show per page, but I would suggest not more than say 5 so that page loading times remain low,

I have widgets for both 1) Archives (with count, not drop down) and 2) Calendar. Fine … but they only go back for 12 months. This seems to have changed on me, but I’m not sure. I probably did something. Anyway, can I set these widgets so that they go back further in time? I discovered this “problem” when I want to go find something well over a year old — which raises the question: How do I find old posts, in general. Can I search somehow? I’m an amateur, obviously, so please be kind.
