Archives and Subsribers
-
Hello! I have two questions:
1. My organization currently sends emails out using Constant Contact. We would like to transition that to our blog and begin sending updates out through WordPress. My question is, Can I transfer a contact list of about 1,000 people from Constant Contact to WordPress (copy/paste or otherwise)? Or does each of those 1,000 people need to click “Subscribe”?
2. I would like to add past articles published by my organization on our WordPress blogs. Is there a way to add archives? Or would I have to post each one, showing the current date?
I hope these questions are clear. Thanks for your time and help.

Howdy, thanks for the clear questions. I’ll be happy to answer those. :)

No, they would need to subscribe directly from your blog.

Yes. You can backdate the post—similar to the steps for scheduling a post—before publishing it.
(I’d suggest notifying your subscribers after you’ve posted your archives.)
I hope this helps!

Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I never received an email telling me you replied! So that’s why I’m late in thanking you.
But I do appreciate your answers.
