  Hello, I am trying to get an ‘archives’ page where it displays all of my posts organized by category and sub category but I am not quite sure how to do this. I only have the free version so is it possible to get drop down menus organizing the post or any alternative that would make it easy to navigate and find all of the posts and subcategories in a particular category. Sorry for the basic question, any help at all would be greatly appreciated

  There are several options to get close to what you want. First I assume that you are assigning Categories to your posts:

  1. Using the custom menu, you can add menu items for your categories – and you can create dropdowns:

  2. Use the categories widget for a dropdown list of your categories that will line to category “pages”.

  3. Create an archives page to list your posts:

  (Unfortunately it does not have the option to organize by category. I think they should add that functionality to the archives shortcode…)

  3. Use the Display Posts Shortcode to list posts of each of each of your categories

  Create a list of your categories and below each category on your list put the display posts shortcode like:

  Travel
  [display-posts category="Travel" posts_per_page="-1" include_date="true" order="ASC" orderby="title"]
  
  Food
  [display-posts category="Food" posts_per_page="-1" include_date="true" order="ASC" orderby="title"]

  This will create a nice list of your posts, arranged by category and arranged alphabetically by title. This is just an example. The Display Posts shortcodes article gives all the available options.
  Caveat.: The Display Posts Shortcode has a limit of 100 posts displayed. [i assume that is per shortcode.]
