Archives question

  I am not sure how I have it set up but on the side of my blog it automatically lists the titles of my posts and the date and on top of this it says “archives” and has listed March–my question is, when March is over will those articles listed automatically just go under March and then April’s will start to show up??

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  if i erase a post will it stay in my archives .
  I would liketo keep my page clean .
  I would like the archives to keep the page , but i don’t want to clutter my front page .
  I would like to have my archive as a place to keep my posts in a monthly reference type thing .

  No, if you delete a post or page, it is gone forever.

  @artstarzz: I you “don’t want to clutter your front page”, you can set it to display very few posts, or even one post only. (The default is 10 – you can change that in Settings > Reading.)
