Archives widget

  I am currently using the Morden theme, and installed the Archives widget. I recently moved from Blogger where I had a similar option but that displayed a hierarchy so I could select the year, that opened to the month, then select the month and that then showed the titles of all my posts so I could select the one I wanted. However with the widget in WordPress it just allows you to select the month so you have to select the full month and look through the page with all that month’s posts on it to see if it contains the post you are looking for. Is there any way of getting it so it was more like what I was seeing on Blogger?

  Hi botty1963, we don’t have an archive that double filters like that (by year then by displaying titles by month.)

  You could link to monthly archives, though, if that would work for you. That’s the default if you don’t pick the dropdown option. Or you can list all of your posts by title if that makes sense with your site.

  Or, you can create an archive page using archive blocks, or even archive shortcodes. Given how many posts you’ve got, that may make the most sense.
