Archives Widget in different Blog?
-
I decieded to create another blog that would be apart of another one of mine for space issues and how I wanted it to look on my blog, I’ve been able to make it so that all the widgets are the same with the page links and feed, but not with the Archives because ‘javascript’ isn’t allowed. Yet how do WordPress make the link form for the Archives widget in my theme of ‘Fadtastic’ aren’t link forms strictly ‘javascript” if not please tell me how I can make one in a Text widget.
If you don’t know what I mean by ‘link form’ not sure the proper term, here’s the blog I have it on look at the Archives on the side bar: My blog…

I have no idea why you’d use javascript for that. Just make a text widget with the direct links to your archives for each month. Copy them straight from your existing blog.

You can’t, as far as I know. The archives widget with the built-in functionality is only available prefab, and it only refers to the blog it’s posted on.
Just a reminder that duplication of material will cause Google and other search engines to downgrade or eliminate your blog. It’s not generally a good idea. And you have unlimited space for text and posts at WordPress.com; it’s only images that have limited space. If you hit that limit, just use Flickr or Photobucket or another external source that allows hotlinking for free.

So you can give me a drop down list code cronies without “javascript”? And it wasn’t the room problem raincoaster it was more of a problem of having to many “links” at the top of the site which I didn’t want because what I was doing was making like sub-categories.
Thanks for the help guys!

I don’t think a ‘drop down list code’ is going to work. All are done with scripts and all are stripped from wordpress.com blogs.

Ok well that’s ok if it doesn’t work I can always just do something else for the Archives…
