archiving post

  My blog posts are getting too deep. I need away to archive old post to shorten up the public page.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Immediately after we publish a post the data is transmitted to the Archives, and Categories and Tags we have assigned to the post are also update automatically.

  We can choose how many posts to place on the front page of the blog here > Settings > Reading > Front page displays > Blog pages show at most ___ posts

  We can also choose to insert “the more tag” and create a break in the text at any point we choose in any post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/ That way we can have shorter posts on the front page – hence more posts there.

  Also we can use pagination. If we think a post is too long we can use this. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/nextpage/
