Archiving specific posts onto a page?

    Hello, I recently started up my own WordPress blog for news and reviews about heavy metal music.

    I figured out how to set up pages at the top – about us, news and reviews – and some sub-pages under the reviews page.

    The problem I’m having is that when I click a page, I want the archives to contain all of my posts in that category. However, for example, when I go to the ‘News’ page, my archives of reviews also show up under that archive. It will have both archives by month, and archives by subject (categories and sub-categories).

    Is there any way I can set it so that only posts under the News category show up on the News page, and only posts under the Album Reviews category show up on the Album Reviews, etc?

    I tried adding a custom menu following the instructions from the wordpress support pages, but this has made no difference.

    Any help would be much appreciated.
