Archos Opera accessing Site Admin

I have an Archos 5 Internet Media Tablet which uses Opera browser. I can access websites fine, including my own blog. However, when I try to sign in so as to perform Site Admin, it simply replays the Sign-In Window with my User Name and Password in place. The blog homepage then shows Site Admin and Dashboard as available but if I click on them I get the Sign-in window with my user name and password in place. Click on Log In and the window simply reappears. I have been able to sign in with passwords, etc. on other non-blog sites. Any thoughts anyone?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have you considered contacting Staff? http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Thanks for the suggestion and I’ve just done so. Thought one should try the forums first.

I’ve not seen any information posted to the forums on this and that’s why I suggested contacting Staff. Perhaps a volunteer will be able to help. I hope so and if that happens then you can notify Staff to close the ticket. :)

A good suggestion but they had no suggestions. Since I can log into other sites with the same user ID and password I suspect it’s an Opera problem. I’ve emailed the issue to the Archos tech support. (There’s no apparent way to present questions on the Opera site.)

Oh, and this is important, I found a couple other sites where the user ID and password didn’t work correctly so it’s not just a WordPress problem.

I have had a suggestion from someone on the Archos Forum that this problem may relate to “Java scripts” of which I know extremely little (nothing). Are Java scripts involved in the WordPress log-in process?

This is a peer support forum. I could be wrong but I don’t believe that it’s likely that a Volunteer will be able to help you and you first posted on February 19th. I’m wondering if you have contacted Staff? http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Yes, I contacted them February 19th but they had nothing to offer. I’ve just contacted them with the question about Java scripts.
