Are Akismet & WordPress owned by the same corporate people?
I cannot make comments on any WordPress blog because Akismet has ID’d me as a spammer and any comment I make simply gets discarded.
I contacted WordPress support; they said I had to contact Akismet support at http://akismet.com/contact/ to change this.
I have, but as with support with most software, they don’t respond at all to any requests for problems with their service.
Akismet has a blog on WordPress for their site, http://blog.akismet.com/
But I can’t leave any comments there, either, because ALL MY COMMENTS GET AUTOMATICALLY DISCARDED.
If WordPress and Akismet are owned by the same corporate entity, WHY CAN’T THEY RESPOND?
If WordPress simply contracts with Akismet, WHY CAN’T SUPPORT HELP IN CONTACTING THEM, — MORE THAN JUST TELLING ME TO GO TO A CONTACT PAGE THAT A CORPORATION IGNORES?

Akismet, WordPress, BuddyPress are all part of Automattic, so yes, Akismet and WordPress are all under the same umbrella.

Actually, according to wikipedia, the same person owns both WordPress and Akismet.

Yep, and all I can suggest is to send in another support request to Akismet, and also to contact blog owners and tell them to despam your comments. Akismet does learn, but sometimes it appears to learn slowly.
Posting to their blog doesn’t seem to do much good. All my rants there about the service quickly disappear.

So i am not a lonely comments spammed blogger. I am sstill waiting for akismet’s answers…
If not comment can’t get through to my post, i am wondering why i whould kill myself posting.
I upgrade my blog, i bought a domain and i have akismet hiding every regular or spams on my dash board. I can’t understand why.
If one should pay to get more service from akismet; then i would like to be informed.
I am getting obssessed about that and i hate to be kept in ingnorance.
I need help frome akismet or people from the forum.
My blog in is french. But i can read english. I would be very greatful to anyone with a magic solution.

I know it’s simply a fact of modern life, but software companies that are obsessed with code and ignore humans stuck in their systems just stick in my craw.
I’d point out Microsoft as the prime example, except that they own all those black helicopters that keep circling my tin foil hat… ;-)

Akismet problems such as this should be reported here please:
Email address and blog URL are essential; IP address is helpful too (see http://whatismyip.com/ if you don’t know it).
