Are blogs public?
-
I posted 2 blogs, but afterwards I found a publish button. Are blogs here not made available to others? Then I had 4 blogs, 2 by each of the 2 names. Why is that? Is it normal for the sidebar to have 2 names for each blog that I post? I deleted 2 of my blogs, and now I have none, because the other 2, though they had the same names, didn’t have blog content. Why is that? Can I get those blogs back?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
I see a few duplicate posts published, so you may want to delete the extra ones. You can view them (and delete if needed) here: wordpress.com/posts.
If you’re new to WordPress.com, this guide for getting started may be helpful in figuring out where things are: https://en.support.wordpress.com/start/
Let me know if you have any more questions! :)

I found a place to restory my blogs from the trash, but it’s still confusing. One origional post is here:
If you scroll down you can see that it’s all there. At the bottom is a button that says “Press This,” and if you do, it says it will be published.
What you get then is a second post of the same name on the right sidebar near the top. If you click on it, however, (or follow the “Press This” to the new creation,) it’s not the whole blog, but rather is a link to the blog.
You, as staff, have just told me I can delete the extra one, but they aren’t 2 of the same thing, they’re two different things. They just look the same in the sidebar. I deleted the first one, the whole one. Then the second one didn’t work at all. So your advice could cost me all the work of putting up a blog in the first place. That’s just FYI.
So what’s the purpose of publishing a blog for the second time, through the “Press This” button at the bottom? Again, are the blogs made available to others? Are new blogs listed somewhere as they come out, (as at other blog sites, such as La Vida Locavore, ZSpace and Daily Kos)?

Hello!
The “Press This” sharing button is a way for other users to share your post on their own blogs. Only an excerpt of the post is published with a link to the full post. It’s just another way to get traffic to your site.
There’s also a “Press This” button you can add to your browser window as a quick way to publish images and text from the web to your own blog. There’s more info about this here:
Again, are the blogs made available to others?
Yes, if you repost one of your own posts using “Press This” it is available to others.
Are new blogs listed somewhere as they come out, (as at other blog sites, such as La Vida Locavore, ZSpace and Daily Kos)?
No, they are not posted to other sites, only to the site belonging to the person who clicked the button. Does that make sense?
