Are collapsing categories available?

  Hi, I want to know if collapsing categories is available on WordPress.com? I found a Forum discussion on the topic dating back to 2007 which is now closed but no update on whether this functionality is likley to become available?

  It says on the support document that you can arrange categories in a hierarchy so they should be collapsible in the sense that clicking on a parent category shows or hides the offspring.
  Your blog is marked private so I’m not exactly sure if this was what you were asking about.

  You can also configure the Category widget so it collapses and only expands on clicking. I have that on my blog.
