Are commenter's email addresses made public?

Someone commented on one of my entries, and shortly after I noticed on my site stats that there was a ‘click through’ from my blog to the commenter’s domain (which apparently is a company email, not a yahoo/gmail type). That domain name was nowhere in the comment, it was in the information entered in the fields when commenting.

I always thought only the blog owner could see that, is it actually viewable by anyone?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The email is not made pubic – but if a name is linked to a web site – the name will have a link to the web site that can be clicked on – your name in this forum works that way as does mine

The only way the email would be made public is if the blog owner transferred the address into the comment by hand

Ok, I think there was a website listed also… that’s what I needed to know, I was just worried about my commenters getting a bunch of spam.

    Thank you!
