Are domains valid for 11 months only?

  I registered this domain for my son, My problem is the following: On WP.com dashboard, It tells me: “hawlal3alm.com – Active – renews on April 14,2015” but, I registered it today so, What is the problem?

  Is this is because of Auto-Renewal?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Also, I found that when access my dashboard, I’m on http://hawlal3alm.wordpress.com/wp-admin but, When I browse the blog, I’m on https://hawlal3alm.com, So, the dashboard is only @ WP.com domain and blog is only @ my domain.

  No the registration is for 12 months . Though you receive mail before 60 or 30 days i think as a reminder so you do not lose the domain .

  Secondly , Yes your dashboard is at wordpress.com

  You get a full 12 months on your domain registration. However, we attempt to renew domains (or the Premium upgrade if there’s a domain registered) 30 days from expiration so if the payment doesn’t go through or there’s any other issue, we have a month to sort things out before the domain actually expires.
