Are 'likes' and 'comments' not available on Portfolios?
-
I recently changed my WordPress theme, only to find that the way I was hoping for my content to be displayed meant I needed to transfer all of my ‘posts’ to ‘portfolios’. I’ve since noticed that there aren’t any like buttons or spaces for comments on these? Is there a way around this or will I simply need to change my theme?
My blog URL is: http://www.wander-full.com

Hi there!
In general, you can enable likes and sharing buttons on portfolio project pages, but not comments. However, the theme you’re running, illustratr, does not display the likes and sharing buttons on project pages to keep a minimalist look.
It does sound like your content fits best in posts so that you can fully control comments, likes, and sharing possibilities. I’d recommend picking a theme that suits photography well in posts.
I’d start with this search in the theme showcase:

Hi Alex,
Thank you so, so much for such a prompt response!
Looks like I’ll have to keep browsing themes until I find another that I like that will work with my posts. I appreciate the link :)
Kindest,
