Are my photos really deleted forever?

I am a twelve year old blogger. I’ve been blogging for almost 2 years now. Today I was having fun and customizing my blog when I came across the media library. I had 2.5 out of 3.0 GB left, so I decided to delete some photos. What I didn’t know was that they were connected to the post, I thought it was just an import thing. I’m really upset, and didn’t have them backed up anywhere. Is there anyway I could get them back? Half of my blog is gone.

The answer is no. Any image, on any page, anywhere on the web, anywhere in the world, has to be exist somewhere on a server on the internet or it cannot be displayed. If you deleted the images from your Media Library they are no longer on the servers and cannot be displayed. @rainbowsparkle5000 being under 13 means that WPcom will need to get a signed parental consent form for your site to continue here. Staff will inform you about it when they answer here.
As far as images, if it was only today that you deleted them, there’s a small chance that Staff will be able to revert your site to an earlier time, so don’t post or change anything on your site in the meantime so you don’t lose it.
If that doesn’t work, since your site has been online since November 2013, if you allowed your site to be indexed by search engines then you may be able to recover those images by searching Google and/or the Internet Archive Wayback engine for cached versions of your individual posts. You will then need to save the images and reupload/reinsert them in your posts.

Hi. I’m her mom. Thanks for your feedback. We filled out everything to start her blog together and I did not see an age requirement. Thanks for letting us know. I will take care of the parental content. We did end up finding some of her pictures that were saved on my computer so she is happy about that. :)
