Are my subscribers still getting my posts via email?

  I have set my blog to private and don’t want anyone to be able to read it. I just noticed after I posted something that it said it was sent to five subscribers. Is this true? How can I fix this?

  Hi there,

  Unfortunately, users subscribed to your blog prior to it being marked as “Private” will receive a notification e-mail that you’ve published a new post. However, they will not be able to read the post.

  We are aware of this issue and working on fixing it. In the meantime, if you would like me to remove your subscribers from your blog, please let me know.

  I publish sometimes 10 posts a day, so this may be very annoying to them, so if you could please remove them, thankyou!

  Your subscribers have been removed as requested. Please note that we can no longer remove subscribers after this point, so be mindful of whether your blog is public or private.

  Public blogs are open to all subscribers, and subscription is now considered a user-based feature under the control of just the user, not the blog admin.
