Are offensive adds, which I did not permit, appearing on my blog?

  • Unknown's avatar

One of my readers sent me an email to inform me that there were offensive adds, which I did not allow appearing at the end of my last post. I checked carefully and could not find anything of that sort. She said that these adds appeared just above the share buttons at the end of the post. Could you help me with this, please? I checked my spam queue and did not find anything.

  • To support the service (and keep free features free), we sometimes run advertisements, and the agreement for this has been in our terms of service since 2006.

We try hard to only run them in limited places. If you would like to completely eliminate ads from appearing on your blog, we offer the No-Ads Upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

We do our best to keep the ads family friendly, so would you please send a screenshot to support@wordpress.com so we can report it to our ad provider?

Thanks a lot for pointing this out. I’m glad it’s simple to fix.

Since I did not see the ads myself, as they never appeared on my screen, I can’t send you a screenshot. The person who pointed it out to me by email, did not know how to do a screenshot, so I left it at that. She said one of the ads was a Pepsi ad.

    Thanks again.

  • Hm, the Pepsi ad is a commercial that runs on US network TV, it’s not really offensive.
