are online store blogs violating the ToS?

I thought that we couldn’t advertise on our blogs. Yet I have found a blog purporting to be an online store among our fastest growing blogs. Every blog entry is only a single catalogue item with a price and an email address to purchase the item from in this blog

My question is: are online store blogs violating the ToS?

Insert standard “I’m not an Automattic staff member” disclaimer. :)

That’s a policy/Podz question best dealt with via Feedback. To me, that’s a toss up since there’s no links or whatnot. There’s nothing to point to and specifically state “That’s advertising.” but I can see where it would be an issue.

Feedback sent with a link to this thread but I think Podz is already off line. I’m also going to go ahead and remove teh link in your post, TT, so they don’t get credit for it.

If they were giving actual, detailed reviews of items and gave links on their home site saying that this was their blog, then I for one wouldn’t have an issue with it. (ie it had actual, honest content and functioned as an actual store blog.)

edit: Feedback sent and link removed.
