Are private blogs safe from webcrawlers and hackers?

  Is publication of an email address on a private blog truly 100% available to authorized members only, or can webcrawlers and hackers simply ignore requests to stay away and collect addresses for spamming?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Webcrawlers are not necessarily malevolent, but yes, having a private blog will prevent them from crawling your content.

  The #1 way hackers gain access to sites on WordPress.com is by gaining access to the admin’s email account, so if you’re concerned about hackers, change your email password frequently, and don’t store passwords in your email account.

  The #2 way hackers gain access is by fooling people into giving them admin or editor level permissions.
