Are public posts on a private website public or private?

Are public posts on a private website public or private? I have multiple private free WordPress websites. I make all posts ‘public,’ but the entire website is set as private. Thus, I have two questions:
    1) Are my posts unseeable by all non-admins, even though they are marked as public?
    2) Are my posts viewable in the WordPress reader, even though the site is marked as private?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

Hi there, I know that the whole privacy/visibility thing can be confusing, so thanks for asking:

    1. When you’ve set your entire site privacy to Private, your public posts are visible only to you and the people you invite to view your site. Posts or Pages published as private are viewable only by Admins and Editors.
    2. Since your entire site is Private, your posts do not appear in the Reader as your site does not publish an RSS feed.

More on site Privacy settings at https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/ and post and page privacy settings at https://wordpress.com/support/post-and-page-visibility/

Hope that helps, but post back here if you have more questions about this.
