Are the instructions for Uploading Documents a bit faulty?

  Hi all, just a comment. I just spent about 30 minutes trying to upload/attach a Word document to our blog. I found the instructions by searching for Uploading documents.

  The instructions state Post>Add new or Pages> Add new (a new screen opens)

  Well, after not being able to attach the document, I went to the page section I wanted the link to appear and inserted it from edit post box.
  Otherwise, you go on a wild goose chase….the instructions just seem a bit faulty to me when there is something more simple.

  You’re not reading the right instructions to upload documents. Those are the Create Page instructions.

  Do you wish to use the contents of the documents as the contents of your post? In that case, Paste from Word is what you want. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/

  If you just want to upload the document to your media library and link to it, then use the Media Uploader and upload it, then highlight some text or an image and hit the Link button and link it that way so when someone clicks on it, the document comes up.
