Are the new .blog domains free?

    I clicked to join the priority list after receiving two emails about a .blog domain, but I want to know if the .blog domain is free or not. If not, what is the monthly/yearly charge? Thanks and much love!

    If you mean that the .blog custom domain will be included in the WordPressdotcom upgrade plans which include a domain name, I have tagged this for a Staff reply.

    Howdy!

    The .blog domains are not free. There is an annual registration fee just like any other custom domain, like .org, .com, .net and so on. The .blog domains will be available with your WordPress.com Plan upgrade on November 21st.
