Are the new Portfolio Content types RSS-friendly?
-
I just caught the news on the Portfolio content types (funny enough, I was literally just working on the same sort of thing for my self-hosted site except using Category templates and queries) and was wondering how, exactly, these new Portfolio content types work.
Are these new Portfolio content types like the other custom post types?
Are they treated more like Pages like the other custom post types are or are they treated more like Posts and are they RSS-friendly or would people have to customize them for RSS?
Additionally, is this feature only available for .com WordPress?
I was going to ask for clarification/additional details on the news blog itself, but the blog said don’t ask questions and so I decided to ask them here.
Thanks in advance! :)

Portfolio items do not show up in the RSS feed. They are treated more like pages in that sense.
Additionally, is this feature only available for .com WordPress?
For now, yes. It should be available for self-hosted sites in a future Jetpack update.
