Are there any security settings on WordPress that would remove script tags?

    I am trying to install a widget onto my WordPress page but for some reason when I paste the generated code into the text widget box, the widget’s script tags would be removed and the widget would not appear properly.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello, this is because adding JavaScript code on WordPress.com blogs are not allowed for security reasons. After you paste the generated code into the text box widget, all/some of the code is likely being stripped out due to this.
