Are there fake WordPress Emails?
-
I have been using WordPress for 2-3 years now. I am used to the emails from WordPress saying my domain will be automatically renewed, or No Ads will be automatically renewed.
As a matter of fact, I am thrilled that my Domain – resamcconaghy.com will be automatically renewed later today.
I received an Email, apparently from WordPress, that is unlike any email I have ever gotten from WordPress. It physically looks different, and does not queue in with my regular WordPress Emails.
The Email contains links and cites ICANN rules (with link) It has a phone number that when Googled says it belongs to Automatic.com
Then I got scared with this line from the email as I have no idea what it means, except that my domain could be put on non-renewal status.{{NOTE: For certain TLDs, if renewals are not processed in the proper respective time frame, redemption fees may be applied and/or your domain name may be placed on non-renewal status}}
I’m looking for assurance that everything is okay with my domain and account.
Is the Email a valid Email?Thank you,

I looked at your account and I don’t see any problems, but just to double check, I’m going follow up with you in private e-mail so you can send me a copy of the e-mail in question.

Somehow…. I can’t find your follow up email so I am sending this.
Now I will go try to find your email, again!Resa McConaghy
