Are there themes with conditional menus? (not submenus)
-
Hi,
Have you ever seen a theme with conditional menus (I have not)? Not submenus. So if someone clicks/taps a choice in the main menu, a second menu appears (which I’m calling a conditional menu). And then the second, conditional menu should also be able to have submenus. As long as someone keeps choosing pages that are available in the conditional menu, it would continue to be visible. I would have several different conditional menus that would appear depending on which choice someone makes in the main menu. Also, if someone clicked a link that sent them to a page under a different conditional menu, that menu should appear and the conditional menu from the page they just left should disappear.
Especially on mobile, such a menu system would be helpful. It provides faster access to parts of a site. And it makes people feel like they are in different site areas. Otherwise, I’ve got submenus three levels deep, and that gets unwieldy.
Thanks,

There is a shortcode named “[child-pages]” which you might be able to use in a text widget in a sidebar to get a similar result. It won’t do exactly what you described, but it might get you a step closer to what you wanted.
Here is the related support page in case you’d like to check it out:
