Are there ways to sell items on my site besides full shops, like PayPal buttons

I want to sell items very simply but do not want a full shop as in your commerce solutions
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks for reply. These will be reports I write/produce. (not on globe affairs). So I can have a page with several reports listed which I then have “buy now” buttons for. Then I can send invoices to the buyer for the “product”?

If you have an estore hosted elsewhere online that you can create a custom menu http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#creating-a-custom-menu and include a link to it in your custom menu. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links
Otherwise all you can do is create a contact form http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ on a page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ and use a a Paypal button.

Sorry, one more Q. Why do you need to use a contact form. I thought a PayPal buy now button does all the work.

Some bloggers use them and when they get a respondent who want to make a purchase they then provide the page URL with the PayPal button links on it.
