Are word attachments possible in blogs?

  I have recipes that I’ve word processed and saved on my computer. I refer to one of these recipes in the text on one of my pages, and was wondering if I could attach it in the same way I would add a link. It doesn’t have a URL because it is a word file. Are attachments possible on blogs?
