Are WordPress.com users WordPress 2.5 users?

    As i understood WordPress.com is not a somehow preinstalled free version of WordPress software but an entire other piece of software called WordPressMu. But probably they will have a lot in common?

    Among the most interesting changes for MarsEdit users is the addition of more intelligent “post status” information for blog editor clients. Practically speaking, this means the problems I described in my MarsEdit 2.1 announcement will no longer be an issue for WordPress 2.5 users.

    Can someone tell me if the above is also valid for WordPress.com users?

    What is used here at WordPress.com is WordPressMU. Both it and the single user version have similar features and share virtually all of the dashboard design. The version numbers between MU and single-user do not match as MU was created after the single-user version. The MU equivalent of 2.5 is 2.0.
