I bought my own domain, with who that does not matter.. Well I go ahead and snag wordpress to do the site with and have my domain hosted elsewhere and I don’t want to move it for reasons of my own. So ok I make the site then I want to point the nameservers to my site, well LOL to change this I need to pay 13 dolllars!!!!!! WHY>? what am I getting from you that I don’t already have? I do not need anything from word presss all I need is to point the name servers to the site.. I guess you guys are just that proud of your software you are going to charge usfor something u have no control over at all.. That is so ileagle I have no clue how you are getting away with this!! lol 13 dollars then I have to move some of my stuff to your servers.. are you guys crazy? what drugs u use?
this is quite dumb and anyone who pays that is well been suckerd!

You can try attaching your domain name without domain mapping if you like. There’s one workaround that doesn’t work very well, but you can try. If you can find it on your own, that is.

Being hosted by WordPress.COM comes with many benefits that save you about $125. every year in basic hosting, storage and bandwidth charges. Domain mapping is not a free service and alleging it’s illegal to charge for it is a patently untrue and libelous statement.
Domain mapping of an existing domain URL that you already own and purchased elsewhere is not done free of charge. You will have to renew the domain name purchase where you made it and the domain mapping purchase here every year. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
As for me I’ve blogged for 10 nearly 10 years and 8 of them have been here. I have two sites being domain mapped and I even moved my domains back to WordPress.COM and this is why I did that 7 Reasons Why I Like WordPress.com Hosting.
If you do not want your blog to be hosted here you can continue to pay the web host you have now. There’s no need to post here at all where threads are immediately indexed by Google and other search engines and your tantrum can be viewed by all with internet access.
