Are you giving C panel, FTP server and hosting in the free version or not? And if you are not, then are you giving the above mentioned features in “Personal” Plan or not? If still not, then how can I avail the above services?

    Hi there!

WordPress.com sites (on free or paid plans) are hosted on WordPress.com but don’t run on cPanel and also have no FTP access. To learn more about FTP access, please read this support page.

cPanel and FTP access are available in the self-hosted version of the WordPress software. To make sure you understand the difference between WordPress.com and a self-hosted install of the WordPress software, please have a look at this support page:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Also for a more extensive knowledge of WordPress plans and their features, you can read these pages:

    Hope this helps!

  • Hi there,

Just to add to the answer above, cPanel is a hosting-provider-specific interface, and not part of the WordPress software. Many hosting providers use cPanel, but not all do, and cPanel is not by any stretch the only way to manage a hosting account for a self-hosted site.

cPanel also has nothing to do with FTP. cPanel is the hosting admin interface used by a hosting provider, i.e. that’s how you manage your hosting account, not your site. FTP is done via a dedicated client like FileZilla which you download to your computer, and the site itself is still managed via its own dashboard.
