  I custom some simple css. What has worked for a long time and on various themes is not working now. It worked fine last night. But not this am, and on different post.

  for instance… a simple Drop Cap: <span class=”dropcap2″>A</span> …when entered and updated the editor, both editors …. strips “dropcap2”…subsequently it doesn’t work….

  Thanks timethief….I been familiar with the docs for some time….what I’m asking here is why after years of this code working…up to and including last night, this morning the editors are stripping part of the entry….what and why the change?

  I have some theories about it. It could be browser specific…seems to hold the text in firefox….but not in Safari…but I can’t be sure. Could be I’m not closing an editor after trying to update…which then prompts a newer version of the post exist…but can’t be sure….and that’s the point….I can’t be sure…after six years of using this platform…I know one thing about it…I can’t be sure…. about anything….so to minimize the uncertainly, I need to rapidly move the dot.com to self hosted… and post here, if at all, with the wordpress.com ext.

  How best do I go about that.

  I am not aware of any changes that would have caused this. It seems much more likely to be a browser issue.
