Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.

I’m not sure how to describe the problem, suddenly a few things changed without my consent. The majority of these changes seem to be contained within ‘Structure Theme Options’. Whenever I try to change them back I receive a blank white screen simply asking “Are you sure you want to do this?” and telling me to “Please try again”. I’ve looked for all the solutions I can find and have not been able to fix the problem. This is really frustrating and I’ve already had a comment about the changes.
I have read a few things about plugins and codex? I’m unsure of this, are plugins the same as widgets? If so why not use the word widget? Codex I have no idea about.
Here’s hoping you have a solution.

  • Hi there,

Can you be more specific about what has changed with the theme that is bothering you?

WordPress.com uses widgets; the Codex is the online repository for all things WordPress.org, which is different from WordPress.com. WordPress.com doesn’t support third party plugins, but we build in plugin functionality with our widgets.

Does that help clear up some of the confusion? Here’s a support document all about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:

    Cheers!

Hmm, strangely leaving it 24 hours has fixed it? I’ve not attempted anything else since posting this, yet, all the problems have resolved themselves. Strange.

  • That is strange!

Tell you what: if you see them again, please grab a quick screenshot and let us know!

    Cheers and happy holidays!
