  How to get an IP address to link my website to the GoDaddy domain?

  Hi there!

  Do you own a domain with GoDaddy that you want to use with your WordPress.com site? If yes, here’s how to do that:

  1. You’ll need a paid plan to use a custom domain with your WordPress.com site. Please check out our plans and pricing here: https://wordpress.com/plans
  2. Once you’ve upgraded to a paid plan, you can connect your domain by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/
  3. As part of that process, you’ll find the IP addresses on your WordPress.com dashboard to add to the domain (see here).
  4. Within 72 hours of adding the IP addresses to the domain, your custom domain will start loading the WordPress.com site. You’ll also want to make sure your domain is set as the primary address of your site (here’s how).
