Argent Theme: can't get portfolio to display on front page
-
Hello! I just installed the Argent Theme and can’t get the portfolio to display on the front page.
My site is jessicabowler.com. When I go to jessicabowler.com/portfolio, it does show up – but not on the main page.
I have a static front page and followed all the instructions on the theme page to set up the portfolio. I’ve also disabled and enabled portfolios in the writing settings and tried adjusting my reading settings, but I still can’t get my portfolio to show up like it does in the demo site.
I have three portfolio items I would like to display on the main page. All have images set to featured images, a bit of text, and an excerpt.
Can you help me? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Er…it’s automatically added a link saying the blog I need help with is “barcelonablonde.com”, but it’s actually “jessicabowler.com” :)

Hi @holayessica!
I’m seeing the three portfolio items (Corporate Communication, Content Creation & Strategy, Translation) on your home page – did you already sort this out? :)

Thanks for clarifying!
The link at the end of your post comes from the “Select the blog you need help with” option when you create a new thread :)

Hey,
I’m also having the same problem with Argent as holayessica. Have set it up as it stated in the themes info. I just receive the “Nothing Found” text at ‘calowenmusic.com

Thanks :)

Hi @calowensound!
Were you working on calowenmusic.com?
It looks like you’ve gotten the Portfolio Items to display already as well.
For anyone else having trouble, these are the steps.
1. Set a Static “Home” Page (Front Page)
2. Under My Site > Pages edit your new front page. Use the Page Attributes panel to select the “Front Page” template
3. Under My Site > Customize, open the Theme Options panel to configure the portfolio display on the homepage :) -
I am working on calowenmusic.com yes and I did manage to get it working, I had a bit of a brain malfunction while trying to set it up and misunderstood the ‘Front Page’ part. Although now I’m unsure of how to get my text to display above the portfolio like it does on holayessica’s jessicabowler.com and on my calowenmusic.com/portfolio/ page.
Back to the themes instructions!

And you can ignore me on that last post. Any content must go in the Page you’ve created and set as ‘Front Page’ and Static Front Page. The portfolio will display underneath that!
