Argent Theme Child Menu Problems

  Hello,
  Using the Agrent theme on a desktop you simply need to mouse over a parent topic in the menu and it opens all the child topics (if there are any). However, as you mouse down to pick a child topic the menu usually disappears. If you mouse to quickly or from the center or right side of the parent it is worse. If you mouse down from the extreme left of the parent and go at the right pace it will work, allowing you to pick topics.

  Is there any fix for this? It makes the menu way too frustrating to use on a desktop and it is the only menu option available with this theme.

  Hello,

  Thank you for reporting this back. :)

  I was able to replicate after changing the Base Font on my test site to either Large or Huge. The dropdown menu can be accessed normally when the Base Font is set to its default or normal size.

  I’ve reported the issue back to the theme’s author and will let you know when I hear back from them. In the meantime, you could consider setting your Base Font’s size back to the default via the Fonts panel in the Customizer.

  Let me know if any questions come up while we wait to hear back, also.

  Thank you so much for the quick response. I noticed on the demo version of the theme that my drop down menus had a much larger gap and could not understand why. I will switch the font size back in the meantime.

  Hello!

  We’ve investigated this issue, and deployed a fix to the Argent theme. You should be able to change your site’s font size now, without causing issues with the menu.

  Wow. You may want to check yourself into a burn unit. With a response that smokin’ fast there is no way you didn’t light your keyboard on fire ;) I messed with the font size in a few combinations and it works flawlessly from my 13″ Dell laptop on Windows 8, using both Opera and Firefox. I even increased the font size using Firefox (cntl+) until the browser changed the menu to the single drop down (as when viewing in mobile), then when back one size. The menu still worked great. Ditto when I reduced font size to the minimum using Firefox. Great job, fast response.
