Argent Theme not displaying portfolio section on front page

  Hi! I can’t seem to display the first 3 portfolio on the Homepage.
  Could someone please offer some assistance?

  Managed to google and saw there was another thread discussion on on using the Argent theme. But the thread has closed and I cannot get post my query there anymore.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I do not see a check box to enable the Portfolio Custom Content Types as indicated in point 1:

  1. In your site’s dashboard, go to Settings → Writing → Your Custom Content Types and make sure the “Portfolio Projects” option is checked.

  Could someone please enlighten me?

  Hi there!

  This forum is intended for sites hosted on WordPress.com. You’re using the Argent theme on a self-hosted WordPress site, so the directions for getting started are a bit different for you.

  To access the Portfolio area for Argent on a self-hosted site, first you’ll need to activate the Custom Content Types module in the Jetpack plugin. Once that’s on, you’ll see Portfolio listed along the left side of your dash (near Pages) and can start adding your projects from there.

  Thanks.
  Yep the module is activated in the Jetpack plugin.

  Portfolio in the left Dash is appearing.
  Projects added.

  But it doesn’t seem to display the first 3 projects on the Front Page.

  Will post it on the other self-hosted forum.

  Just in case this helps, there is some info on getting the projects to show on your front page on the theme’s page: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/argent/

  Maybe these steps will help get them there?

  • Head to Customize → Theme Options → Front: Portfolio Section.
  • Check “Show Portfolio Section.”
  • By default, this section displays three recent portfolio projects. You can choose to display three, six, or nine projects with the Number of Projects to display option.
  • By default, this section displays the title “Work” above the projects. You can change this by adding your own title in the text field under Portfolio Section Title.
