Arrangements to move my blog, ‘dreamstheciphermethod’, to another service

    I am discontinuing my blogs relationship with your service. I wish you well in your efforts to maximize your income, but expecting me to pay 6 times my present fee to get back to the original editing feature, is unacceptable. I want you to delete the entire contents of my blog from your website, including the blogs name ‘dreamstheciphermethod’, but I make a proposal here to allow you to take advantage of what goodwill my site has built up, but for a limited time only, after removal of all my content, as follows:

    I will allow you continue to use my blog’s name and url on your site, to sell and post advertising (– if there is such demand — and you get to keep all the proceeds of the ad sales), until further notice from me. In return, I want you to post a ‘notice’ of my blogs new internet location on your WordPress server at my present WordPress url,

    where the ads may also appear. The location and appearance of my ‘notice’ must be the more prominent, compared to any and all ads. The ads may not demean me or my blog. You will not be entitled to any further payment from me.

    I will be using a new name — a variation of the name I used on WordPress — and that name and the new URL will appear prominently in the ‘notice’ that I will prepare for you.

    If this is agreeable, I will contact you as soon as possible to begin the transition by deleting all the content of my WordPress blog, including the posts and the ‘about’ and etc. and at that time I will be providing my proposed ‘notice’.

    Hi Ken,

    Thanks for the offer. It’s not something we can take you up on, but this may help:

    First, you should still be able to access the classic editor without an upgrade. It just won’t be indefinitely available. Here’s how:

    If you’d still like to remove the content of your site, here’s how to do that:
    https://wordpress.com/support/delete-site/

    I’d recommend exporting the content first. You can move it to another host that way, if you’d like, where you can use the Classic Editor plugin for as long as it’s available. Here’s how:

    Please just bear in mind the difference between a free WordPress installation and our hosted services.

    Then if you’d like, you can redirect the free wordpress.com address to the new site. That will allow you to keep your existing SEO and links until search engines and bookmarks are all updated:
