Arranging images in a post driving me mad
-
All I want is to arrange pictures in a grid, in between two paragraphs of writing. The only help I can find poring through WordPress help articles is about creating an image gallery. I don’t want a separate gallery, I want images within an article.
[For example, here would be maybe a 3 image x 3 image grid of pictures]
And then my article carries on like this. Why can’t you drag and drop images? I don’t understand why it is made to be so difficult. And other blogs manage to do this so easily! What am I doing wrong? Whenever I try and format one image, the others jump around, have massive gaps between them when there aren’t any spaces or anything in there…
I would really love some help with this, I want to post this article I’m writing (and others) ASAP but don’t want to until the photos are organised correctly.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

are all your images the same size?
if so: a simple way is just to click on the images in the “Visual editor” and and click on the little pencil icon.set the alignment to “none.”
and save.you can cut and copy ( on PCs Contrl X for cut, Contrl V for paste)
your images side by side.do not use (Enter) to end a line of pictures or you will get an extra
space between the rows, unless that’s what you want.use (Shift) (Enter) at the end of a line, that is: the row of three pictures

Another way is to use an HTML table. this gets a little tricky because each wordpress theme has its own way to to render html tables in a post or page.
if you have your edit post page open in your browser,
use the tab on the top right of the editing box to switch from “visual” to “text”.
find where you want to put your pictures in a grid.
-open a new tab or window on your browser to:
http://www.tablesgenerator.com/html_tables– check the tab for “Do not use CSS…”
– use the “Table” tab to select a size (i.e 3×3 with the grid of boxes)
– click generate code
– click copy to clipboard.Copy this code into the post where you want your grid of pictures
(remember you are in text mode)Use the Tabs on the top right to to go back to the “visual” mode
you should now see your table. you can stretch by dragging the edges to make it easier to work with if you want.
you can copy /paste each picture into a space into in the table.
again, its difficult to say what it will look like… its really up how the Theme designer determined what tables look like in posts and pages.
