arranging thumbnails in Modularity Lite

  I’m trying to build a portfolio of thumbs which link to pdfs in Modularity Lite. I’d like to arrange the thumbs in a grid pattern, which I have been able to do using other themes. In Modularity Lite, the thumbs just run down the left side of the page in one column with an occasional weird deviation. Can anybody tell me how I can arrange several thumbnails in a neat grid across the page in this theme?

  I would probably suggest putting the images into HTML tables.

  One other note: the total width of the images in one row will have to be less than the clear area in the post or page.
