Article in RSS feed do not show in full
-
Despite having checked the “Full text” option in the blog settings the article in my RSS feed do not show in full (ie: https://biologyforfun.wordpress.com/tag/r/feed/), I am using firefox and similar issues seems tp have arisen in the past (http://devilsworkshop.org/force-firefox-to-display-your-full-feeds-wordpress-hack/).
Thanks for your help! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just adding a comment that after subscribing in feedly, your site feed is showing the full article, but not in the specific tag feed, which is displayed as a summary.

Thanks for your answer!
What should I do to have the posts shown in full in the specific tag feed? -
The Reading setting https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/reading-settings/ seems to affect only the main site feed, so I’ve re-tagged this for Staff reply concerning tag/category feeds.

Hi there,
As you can see in the other article you linked to, this is a Firefox issue, and not a problem with your site settings. Firefox only shows summaries in feeds instead of the full text. This is something Firefox needs to fix and we can’t do anything about it from our end.
As for it not showing in full text in other feed readers, I’ve confirmed this, but I’m unable to reproduce it with another site, so it looks like something specific to your site. When did you change the setting to full text? Have you published any new posts since doing that?

Hi,
Thanks for your answer. I might have played a bit around with the settings to see if it changed anything for the specific feed (which it did not), but I am puzzled as I have used this feed for 4 years now without touching the settings and it always worked fine…

The feed should refresh itself once you publish a new post, so please try publishing a post under that tag that’s only showing summaries and let me know. Then I’ll check again in an RSS reader if it updates there.

I just published an article under this feed: https://biologyforfun.wordpress.com/tag/r/feed/, let me know if there is still an issue for non-firefox users.

FWIW in feedly, I’m still getting a summary appended with ” Continue reading Loret Ipsum (dummy article, not made to be read)”

I’ve been trying to reproduce what’s happening with the feed on your site using a test site, but with the exact same settings and basic setup I’m not able to get my site’s RSS feed to display only summary in an outside feed reader like yours does. From everything I can find your tag feed should be showing full posts just like the main feed.
I’ll test this some more, but it takes time as after each setting change I need to first publish a new post before the feed refreshes, and the feed reader I’m using to test only refreshes the feed on their end every half hour or so. I’ll let you know if I learn anything new :)

The feed on your site is created automatically. It’s not something you can do yourself.
For some reason feed readers don’t appear to be consistently respecting the feed settings on your site, but there is nothing wrong with the feed on your site itself. Most likely the last post you made did not cause the feed to update as it should have. As you publish new posts that should rectify itself. I wouldn’t recommend publishing more fake posts.
