Article should´t be shown at the main page

  Hey,
  i want to post an article in a category and that works, but i don´t want that the article is shown at the main page. Pls tell me how I can fix it. Thank you !

  Hi,

  If your main page is setup to show list of posts, then there’s no “easy” way to hide a particular post from showing up on it.

  It is possible to hide the article with a custom CSS, which is part of the Custom Design upgrade (http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/custom-design/). The process will be manual though, meaning that you will have to code more CSS if you want to hide another article, as there’s no option in the Dashboard to hide posts.

  But is there a possibility to show only a little bit of the article on the main page and not the hole? That would be very good.

  Yes. Either use a theme that does this automatically (most of the new themes do) or use the More tag. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/
