articles format radcliffe 2

Hello,
Have a little issue with my theme Radcliffe 2.
After multiples themes tests I thought I had finally found a perfect one which matched all my expectations, but now not so sure any more…Here is the adress
(not perfect, it’s a template which i use to get the perfect theme, then I finish the details.)My problem is when I go on the feed page
https://cupandcakedotfr.wordpress.com/recettes/All I can see are images with recipe name on it…
This is not really welcoming I think.
I wouldlike an extract of the article to appear, like on others themes I saw, but couldn’t figure out if this was possible in Radcliffe theme.
I am afraid this is just not a blog purpose theme, lucky me…
Hope you’ll tell me I am just a bad user and that i don’t have to start back again with another….one more…theme test…
Thanks,
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OK think I found out, but not sure.
Actually I would have to define the blog page as “standard page” and not as “blog feed”, so I can change the layout and define it as “blog”, am I right? But Won’t this be a problem in the menu?
Thanks,

well actually this doensn’t work either anymore…
I don’t know what I did wrong but now I can’t reproduce the correct format with extracts, while it appears correctly that way in my admin page…
Whatever I think I will stop for tonight cause I am losing my mind.
Hopefully you will have an easy solution for me.
thanks

Hi,
I would like an extract of the article to appear, like on others themes I saw, but couldn’t figure out if this was possible in Radcliffe theme.
The Radcliffe theme has an unusual blog page style. There’s no option to include excerpts of the posts on the blog page with this theme. See the “News” page of the Radcliffe 2 demo for an example of what the blog page looks like on this theme.
Your homepage is presently the page with the slug “blog.” I presume the page is titled “Blog” as well, but it’s not set as the posts page at Customize > Homepage Settings. Instead it’s a static page.
My problem is when I go on the feed page
https://cupandcakedotfr.wordpress.com/recettes/All I can see are images with recipe name on it…
That page actually has the URL https://cupandcakedotfr.wordpress.com/blog/recettes/, which indicates that it’s a child page of the static homepage. Either page could be the blog page, but the blog page must be assigned at Customize > Homepage Settings.
But Won’t this be a problem in the menu?
Not necessarily. If you do encounter a problem with the menu, then any menu item can be deleted and replaced. See the Custom Menus support page for relevant information and instructions.
